Steps for healthy lifestyle!

We all are so busy in hustle and bustle of life, working hard to achieve goals and earn a lot of money and there’s nothing wrong in it. In all this we tend to ignore our health and lead not so healthy lifestyle which in turn affects our health.

But how about achieving great heights along with maintaining a healthy lifestyle??

Yes! You read it right. All we need to do is make small changes in our regular routine to maintain a healthy lifestyle and guess what you don’t need to spend hours in gym to stay fit and healthy.

There are just few things that you have to work on and from them the two key elements for healthy lifestyle is ‘exercises’ and ‘healthy eating’.

  • Exercises

It’s important to have a regular exercise routine. It helps in maintaining overall health of the body.

You don,t need to have a fancy exercise routine for this just include stretching and walking and you are good to go.

Walking is one of the best form of exercise which helps prevent/control lifestyle diseases. It is best form of cardio exercise and also it’s maintains for all the systems of the body. It will help you control your weight and will shed off some nasty body fats.

Exercise boosts your heart health, build muscle and bone strength and wards off health problems.

To include walking in your regular routine, try to stay physically active all throughout the day.

Also, try and play some sports at least once a week.

  • Healthy eating

Our lives have been so busy lately that we really overlook our eating habits. With lot of work on head we either skip a meal or eat it late with whatever is easily available.

Always have your meal on time and make it a routine. Avoid junk and include lot of colorful vegetables in your diet. Reduce oil and salt.

Choose whole grains. Cut down on processed food, sugar, salt and saturated fat. Use natural sweetness like jaggery, fruits instead of sugar.

Include at least one fruit, sprouts and a salad in your diet.

Munch on dry fruits or some healthy snacks and smoothies for midday/evening brunch.

Reduce portion size for this use a smaller plate, this  will give an illusion of having a full plate of meal yet you will be having small quantity.

  • Water

Water is best tonic for good health. Drink at least 3-4 liters of water daily. It is one of the best way to detoxify your body.

Drinking an adequate amount of water daily is important for overall good health because water aids in digestion, circulation, absorption and even excretion.

Water intake improves metabolism. More intake of water will increase perspiration which will remove dirt, dead cells and dust particles from skin pores giving suppleness to skin.

Help maintain balance of body fluids. Can help control calories. Help maintain muscles. Helps your kidney.

To increase the water intake start by increasing a glass of water to reach the desired amount.

  • Avoid alcohol and smoking

Smoking and drinking increases your chances of developing serious illnesses and conditions. They both cause multiple complications with the body that can range from mild to life-threatening.

Though mild drinking won’t be harmful but binge drinking will dehydrate your body and gradually start showing its ill effect on body.

  • Sleep well

To remain healthy it’s equally important to rest your body and for that you need to have a proper 7-8 hours of sleep daily.

Maintain a regular sleep routine.

  • De stress yourself

Stress has negative impacts on body functions. It ranges from insomnia to weight gain, to impaired immune and digestive system and also CNS, and also increased risk of heart diseases.

It can take a toll on your health. You can’t avoid it all together but find ways to ease impact.

To relieve stress, try: Deep Breathing, Meditation, Yoga Massage

  • Positive thinking

People with positive thinking have an optimistic view of life that affects their health and well being.

It’s important to stay happy and positive to stay healthy and fit.
